Happy equinox, to all who ... observe. 😀

So having lost their fearless leader, the tubermeister, the #LNP are now tossing up between Tweedledum and Tweedleevendummer as his replacement. Clearly no lessons learned there.

Will somebody please tell #albo to stop kissing babies to whom he is not related.

Of all the anachronistic, trope-fulfilling candidate PR activities ... #ffs

Being aware, as a creator or consumer, of bias in media reporting does not mean that their media is biased and yours is not. It means knowing that *all* media is biased and interpreting it accordingly.

Did you understand what I intended to say? Did I understand what you meant to say?

Not what you or I think those words *should* mean, or some arbitrary dictioneer has said it means ... was my or your utterance understood the way it was intended?

I'm trying to make this my default analysis of communication failures, and of me or you getting upset about what you or I have said.

Bear with me; being pedantic is a long and hard-to-break habit.

Calling any #philosophy people with an interest in #Heidegger. I'm trying to edit the #Wikipedia page on the Black Notebooks. No, wait ... I *am* editing the Wikipedia page on ... anyway, you get the idea.

What I'm in need of ... no, wait, *one of the things * that I'm in need of, is an explanation of the Gesamtausgabe.

Am I correct in thinking that it is a book of the collected works of Heidegger, published by Vittorio Klostermann?

Further, is it the case that sundry editors can submit H's works, such as the Black Notebooks edited by Trawny, for inclusion in the Gesamtausgabe?

Also ... can you point me to a reference (ideally on-line) that I can cite for that info? Please?

Finally, ... you can come and help me edit the Black Notebooks WP article or the Gesamtausgabe WP article, if you like, 'cause they are both a dog's breakfast. No wait ... dogs' breakfasts. Metaphorically, of course.

As much as it is easy and pleasant to blame #capitalism and the rich for all of our woes, I can't help thinking that we all contribute by playing the #consumerism game.

#JustSaying #EconomicsIsHard #politics #AmIWrong ?

Most of the people that refer to their mainstream political opponents as "extreme" (either) left or right wing seem to have no idea what the word "extreme" means, nor what it would actually entail as a political position.

I suggest that you stop saying that, as it makes you look stupid.
