Recent discovery, an Italian singer who didn’t speak English but wanted to make an English sounding pop song in the early 70’s.
Nailed it!
Earl Grey iced tea with Runtz tincture.
@CiaoBruno I love this
@flexghost
The Young Guns 2 soundtrack, but I'm not ashamed at all.
On our way to see In This Moment live, probably be drinking Captain and Coke.
@baronvonj Oh no is this bad I love it
@flexghost
Well the single was super popular, but I don't run across many people who have heard anything else from the album. Bang a Drum, Blood Money, and Dying Ain't Much of a Livin are all awesome too.
@flexghost I don’t care what anyone thinks, I still like this song and will sing along!
Ylvis - What does the fox say?
Drinking Heineken 0
@superflippy I 100% do not hate this
@flexghost Impossible, can't listen to awful music.
Oct 17, 2026, 12:27 AM@flexghost
Don't like it, will delete from my history after this. But since it set a record for being number 1 (or some type of record), i think it belongs here. Feel free to not listen, it's as stupid as the premise.

🍷 Santa Martina 2024 Pino Grigio
There are some great bad songs in this thread. This one made me laugh!
@victorvonvortex @thegaffer Catch the pan flute?
@flexghost Girrrrrrlll I’m from the 80’s there’s so many to choose from

Hello Flex. I nominate a Beaver Brown Band (John Cafferty) song "On the Dark Side", soundtrack band for a movie that flopped named Eddie and the Cruisers. I love this song. What was even better was the soundtrack for the sequel movie. The main character had spent years in obscurity after faking his death, but then decided to make a comeback. https://youtu.be/GgIsyoxZ7Uw?is=XIVXvT7P0meDeHM5
@mizblueprint @flexghost
Remember this one and they wore it out on the radio. It's a good addition for a party playlist.
@mizblueprint ❤️❤️
@mizblueprint @flexghost Oh wow I thought I was the only one who remembered that song and movie! Memory unlocked: Summer of 1984 I was staying at a friend’s house for a weekend. The movies on HBO that we were even remotely interested in were Eddie and the Cruisers and Jaws lll in 3D (not in 3D because it was on TV). We watched each of them at least here times, the delightful boredom of yore. 😆 still love the song
@friscolala @flexghost
I remember renting the vhs tape at the local movie rental store. We later bought the soundtrack on cd. That went with the ex, as I kept all the jazz, classical, and vinyl. 🙄
@mizblueprint @friscolala What even is this? I need it
@flexghost This is an absolute classic. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RUaYbfKZIiA
Water
This is amazing!
@victorvonvortex @thestrangelet Right?
Underworld's "Underneath the Radar"
...the techno power house of Rick Smith and Karl Hyde – who gave us "Dubnobasswithmyheadman," "Born Slippy (NUXX)" and contributed to the opening ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics – *really* embraced the '80s with their album "Underneath the Radar"
It just bleeds "80s music" and the rest of the album is so bad its good.
Drinking: Yuengling
@flexghost I was introduced to Otto Von Schirach when he opened for Ministry and he's terribly great.
Here's a new one from him. Large speakers are recommended.

Oct 17, 2026, 1:26 AM@flexghost I do legit, unironically, enjoy Starship's "We Built This City".
For one, they don't hide the fact that it's about San Francisco, one of my two favorite cities. Go to 3:25 and you'll hear a reference to the Golden Gate Bridge; at 3:38 it adds "the City by the Bay".
Also, who the hell else shout-outs Guglielmo Marconi? (Okay, Thomas Dolby would've. I guess it just never came up for him.)
I'm drinking a Manhattan, with West Cork Irish whiskey on the side.
@kagan Mannequin!
Oct 17, 2026, 1:27 AMI'm drinking black coffee.
I'm having a hard time thinking up bad music I like that most everybody doesn't also like. Hmmm...I'll try two. Neither are actually bad music, but could be considered very unpleasant by normal people.

@flexghost I feel like almost everything I like might qualify. (Also… nobody posted Rebecca Black yet? It’s Friday!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhzy7JaU2Zc
@KerryMitchell Fun fun fun fun fun fun
You are pulling at my heartstrings.
Don't tell anyone, but I hid this song from all my school friends while secretly dancing to it.

@Rozzychan I love Barry.
Hey there, hope you had a good week! Here's a gem that showed up quite a while ago in my recommendations, though I have no idea why. You can thank me later!

@victorvonvortex Hey there and how dare you
What?! This song is great! 😂
Back in the old days, before streaming and even before mp3 players, if you wanted a compilation of all the greatest punk songs and you were lucky enough to be watching TV when this commercial came on, you could order these cds or cassettes loaded with your favorite punk tunes. Some of the punk songs on this collection of awesome punk music are pretty good (although I can do without Huey Lewis and the News)!
Speaking of music you ordered from TV commercials, here's a collection from international superstar and master of the pan flute, Zamfir, before he sold out to Quentin Tarantino. I always kind of liked the music on this commercial (maybe because I never had to listen to him play the entire theme song to Doctor Zhivago on the pan flute).
@victorvonvortex This is so perfect and I can't even
@flexghost I think this has no redeeming qualities, but I’ll always bawl along with it. And for some reason I haven’t drunk a damn thing tonight. Gotta fix that.
@etikemik New to me and perf
This 1986 song by a Twin Cities band was so offbeat, with heavy accordion. But you just can't help singing along to it.
(drinking Holiday Creamy Vanilla Coca-Cola 🍦🥤 )

@flexghost Happy Friday Flex! Hope you had a great week!

@0x575446 Not a bad song...or is it
Oct 17, 2026, 3:10 AM@flexghost Edgy college radio from the 90s anyone? Jane Jensen's Luv Song is at very least mildly embarrassing. Stellas tonight.
