Let me start by saying, I'm a #python noob. I've written some basic scripts for work where #powershell couldn't get the job done.
I'd like to us python more in my job but I don't know if I can trust the libraries that everyone references in their code examples. Is there a safe set of libraries out there that I can trust? If so how do I find that list?
@boscoandpeck python has a "batteries included" standard library with all sorts of stuff as compared to say, javascript which has very little in the standard library.
For the things you'd use powershell for, you can use python's standard library w/o 3rd party libraries.
When looking thru the standard lib, look at libraries that superseded earlier ones, like `pathlib` is usually better than the `os` alternative.
