anyone have experience with #faircamp 2.0
i am trying to add links for the #webring at the bottom of all pages but can't seem to make sense of what .eno file to edit/create
i've tried adding to the site.eno file and creating a defaults.eno file with no luck
any help would be great. otherwise i guess i can just edit the html after the site is generated 🤷
Been working on my #faircamp 2.0 site and ran into a minor issue. When I try to add a background image in the editor it crashes the editor and doesn't save the image. Anyone else having this issue. It's not a deal breaker, I can just edit the page manually but figured I'd ask.
Oh yeah, I am on Windows... Thats likely part of the problem 😒
I'm not concerned about #AI becoming sentient and killing us all. Now that we've connect the #LLM right to the launch button. It'll just take crappy prompt from the Pentagon. Probably some prompt about #DEI and Jesus. The the missiles will fly.
I really hope I'm wrong. I kind of like being alive in a pre-post apocalyptic society
#ai companies are going to police themselves. that makes sense, it's not like meta, google, openai, etc have ever been caught doing something illegal while policing themselves 🤣
@LibertyForward1 no option in the poll, but if you have the aptitude don't forget that learning a trade is an option. Building and fixing things may not be glamorous but on average they provide a steady respectable income
My wife's sign was much better than mine today 😁
She's so much more artistic than me

Ran into a poorly #vibecoded application today that one of my clients purchased. Out of the box, almost nothing works, errors on every page. Wonder if they tested this on more than one computer? My guess is no. Probably ran it on the test computer and shipped it.
😑
My kids got me some #guitar toys for Christmas and I am just getting around to using one of them. Was about to put some midi strings on a song I'm recording and remembered that the got me a tiny bow for a guitar. Sound is reminiscent of a cello.
Plan to mix in some midi strings with this song to give it a bit more of a real feel. Has anyone done this? Any tips?
Let me start by saying, I'm a #python noob. I've written some basic scripts for work where #powershell couldn't get the job done.
I'd like to us python more in my job but I don't know if I can trust the libraries that everyone references in their code examples. Is there a safe set of libraries out there that I can trust? If so how do I find that list?
On Sunday, I turned off the news.
Turned off my phone.
And I wrote this song about a lazy Sunday.
But in the back of my mind,
I still knew the world was burning.

created a #pixelfed account. now i'm trying to figure it out 🤔
Canceled my band's #instagram account today. Guess I'll need to check out #pixelfed
remixed my first thing on #Thingiverse today! i needed a way to hang my anker bluetooth speaker. feels like a n accomplishment, though in the grand scheme of things it's pretty minor
preparing for jumping in the ocean tomorrow for the #newyears #polarplunge !!
as a #songwriter sometimes i feel guilty that i haven't, or can't, write a song that will change the direction of the world. i think the world or at least this country needs that. but i don't have what it takes for that burden. 😞
