anyone have experience with #faircamp 2.0
i am trying to add links for the #webring at the bottom of all pages but can't seem to make sense of what .eno file to edit/create
i've tried adding to the site.eno file and creating a defaults.eno file with no luck
any help would be great. otherwise i guess i can just edit the html after the site is generated 🤷
@boscoandpeck I *think* you can still use the `catalog.eno` and the `-- more` section for this but, tbh, I'm a little confused about site vs catalog vs mutitrack. https://faircamp.org/docs/latest/reference/catalog/index.html So, I think if your folder structure is like:
faircamp
|--faircamp/site.eno
|--Artist Name
|--Artist Name/catalog.eno
|----Album Name
|----Album Name/mutitrack.eno
@meljoann @freebliss Is this correct-ish?
@karschsp @boscoandpeck @meljoann One correction needed here: Faircamp 2's data model is mostly flat – you can only nest tracks within multitracks, putting multitracks into a catalog is not permitted, but also not needed because right now a catalog always displays all multitracks of the site. For organizational purposes you can do this though:
Some Dir inside the Site Dir/
|--- Artist Name/catalog.eno
|--- Album Name/multitrack.eno
|--- defaults.eno <-- Defaults for both Artist and Album possible here
@boscoandpeck 2.0 added site links (https://faircamp.org/docs/latest/reference/site/index.html#site.links) with which you can place links in the footer of all pages, you could use that in theory (although it's probably not so well suited). The webring links are (afaik) usually embedded as html, which can only go in a More field (e.g. of an artist or catalog, depending which of them you want as homepage). The More field (for catalog: https://faircamp.org/docs/latest/reference/catalog/index.html#catalog.more) is local-only though – you can not set and inherit default values for it, which is also why you can't put arbitrary html on all pages with this. If you know your way around coding you can use the site tree export/render feature https://faircamp.org/docs/latest/guide/modding-and-hacking/index.html to inject html into all more fields, but that's a rather experimental approach. Hope that helps to clarify things a bit!
