Oct 15, 2026, 11:56 AMNASA’s Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope team has completed a marathon of activities to fine-tune its Wide Field Instrument (WFI), the 300.8-megapixel camera.

The secondary mirror position had to be adjusted by just ~4 μm.
As a result, WFI performance is nearly 30% better than predicted.
