Like, dude. Hades has THESE characters. No one is "just pretending" that they're attractive.

I think I remember some reviewer commenting on how "Hades II somehow made Aphrodite EVEN MORE naked than in Hades I" (already 100%)

Hey folks. Someone decided to use the video game Hades as an example of people "virtue signaling" by fake pretending the characters are attractive.

LOLOLOLOLOLOL
Hades might be the thirstiest game I've ever encountered that wasn't a literal actual porn game. Someone sounds repressed.

Reading a book that's set in fantasy Ireland/vikings. Sure you use that familiar setting as shorthand so you don't have to define the world.

"That's a caravel on the horizon"

What, what? *Frantic googling*

Vikings raided, traded with, and settled parts of Europe from the 8th to 11th centuries.
Caravels were ships used by the Spanish and Portuguese in the 15th and 16th centuries.

Thought so. Your history is bad.

Check out this absolutely wild sunrise photo from yesterday.

If you get a wake, the boat is traveling faster than the speed of propogation of those waves in water. The faster you go, the narrower your wake is. Sonic booms are the audible wake of sound waves in air, and Cherenkov Radiation is the luminous wake of high energy particles in air or water.

Anyway, physics is so cool.

Sonic booms are actually really interesting and I wish my physics classes had covered them more thoroughly. It's kind of hard to imagine something going faster than sound in a medium, but if you've been on a fast boat, you see it.
When you're swimming, you'll pretty much never go faster than the waves you create. There will always be disturbed water in front of you. Compare to when you go fast on a boat so you get a wake. In front is undisturbed water, while the wake spreads out behind

Hey folks. Have you ever wondered what happens when something makes a sonic boom* but it's actually so fast that it does the same physics but it's a "luminous" boom?

Yeah that's Cherenkov Radiation.

*Sonic booms are made when something travels faster than the speed of sound in a medium. Light slows down when it goes through stuff too, so its technically possible for things to have the same physics but faster than light in that medium. Which makes a blue flash.

My friends, I have heard it is #Owltober. Which means y'all are due for a #BakedBeansOwl update!
Here he is out on a walk. Still looks a bit scruffy from molting but it's starting to come back in.

Schwump!

Oh great. The DM has promised that the first time we fight Tiamat we'll at least be level 15.

#Longmont CO is proposing to use AI to generate police reports. Can't see how this would go wrong in any way.

Anyway if you're from #LongmontCO and would like to provide feedback, the city council is meeting tomorrow (Tuesday) evening at 7pm and will be reviewing the proposal

You ever had a bad hair day?
How about a bad hair month?

That's right, Beans is molting (but just his head) so he looks really funny right now.
