So that's it? We're just "doing Monday again"? Even though we said we'd learned our lesson last week, and the week before that, and the week before that?

It's bedtime now, right?

This is the cat that used to come and visit my old house. He made himself very comfortable on the quilt on the rocking chair. Could also be frequently found sitting on the wall outside my house, shouting at people as they walked up the street, to try and get a bit of attention from them.

I HATE changing the time (or any other settings for that matter) on the boiler. It always takes me three goes to get it right. I will not miss it when I get the heat pump.

I have survived a trip to the village shop.

Oh bum, my Tesco delivery for today has been cancelled, because apparently there's a problem with the van. I was half expecting it to be cancelled because of the weather anyway, but it's still a pain.

I have been reminded of this, so I'm sharing it, possibly again.

Oh dear, I've opened the bag with the mini bags of Haribo that I bought in case of trick or treaters next week. Lets hope they will last until then.

As well as my new cardigan, I'm wearing a new dress - just a plain long black dress made from a lightweight jersey. I feel like it would go really well with a flannel petticoat when it's colder temps than today. Might have to see if I can find something suitable.

It's beans on toast weather.

My knitter's eye has noticed that the yarn used for these cardigans looks like it's a single / un-plied yarn, like some of the stuff you get from Malabrigo, and knitted at quite a tight gauge. I wonder how well it will wear in the long term.

I ordered a couple of cardigans from the Seasalt outlet store on Ebay, and they are perfect - woolly and snuggly and comforting, and much cheaper than the full retail price.

A Friday afternoon poll, inspired by the chocolate brownie that I'm about to eat.

If you like chocolate brownies, what's your preferred type?

The view today.

My little chicken thinks it's very glamourous to have fairy lights on.

Might be a day for fairy lights in my office today.

The blog post linked in this article is an interesting read.

Well, when I say happening, what I really mean is that there is potential for things happening, and if all goes well I might have a heatpump maybe before the end of winter. You know, just when I need one.
