Oh and I have to keep saying this, but I do not want to hear a fucking word about how "projects need committee leadership, that would solve these problems" when COMMITTEE-LED PROJECTS DO THIS CONSTANTLY.

While usually being irreplaceable because of infrastructure investment in ways that individual-led projects are usually not.

I hate to have this chip on my shoulder but I'm so done at this point.

@TheOneDoc For real though! There are real things you can do to protect your projects and communities from leadership failure. We shouldn't be wasting air promoting the thing that doesn't work (and makes the real solutions harder) and walking away from the conversation like "job well done!" Which I have seen an insane amount of from well-intentioned people who were sure they were helping, some of them righteously militant about it. 🤦‍♀️

@MaddieM4 people are like “bullshit you would want to get away with tricking people”

which tells me they don’t think good people exist and they just told me they plan to be ultimately selfish in a clear situation where doing that would break a lot of trust.

this is shit i overhear or see typed daily, so nobody can tell me im being overly negative unless they wanna fuckin call me a liar

@MaddieM4 committees and orgs with bylaws and bureaucracy are so vulnerable to takeover. If you think government voter turnout is bad let me introduce you to voting campaigns entirely run by 1-2 people in their spare time and one just had a kid and the other one is sick.
