Today has been nothing but loud noises which doesn't go well with a headache that can't figure out if it wants to stay or go. The smoke detector in my bedroom proclaimed that it was dying again. Twice. The maintenance man came over this morning, replaced the batteries then had to come over just a little while ago because that same detector was acting like it was dying again. He replaced all of my smoke detectors instead of just replacing batteries. Here's hoping there's no more of this nonsense. I need a nap.

@pixelate it wasn't a chirp, had it been I could have tuned it out. it was beep beep beeeeep! and just when I'd be like oh it's gone. beep beep beeeeep! why!

@MariahL @pixelate Oof, I'd have wanted to throw the thing off the wall. Those 1 minute chirps from the ones with dead batteries make me want to pull my hair out

@startrek2025 @pixelate That's what woke me up the first time that happened. Beep beep beeeeeep! and it was loud. My room isn't huge? but it's not small either, and for some reason a sound like that in a space like that? holy shit.

@MariahL @startrek2025 Oh my goodness I startle every time I hear something like that. And my door bell is just like this loud trilling buzzing high pitched beep, more like an electric shreak than anything else. And I hate it so much.
