I spent the day yesterday first with a really sudden headache and then throwing up. The whole day completely gone. At least I have the day off thanks to whatever today's called, Indigenous Awareness? Columbus? Anyway, I have it off.

In the early 90s -- maybe 1992 or 1993, my little brother had this silly toy, which my older brother and I, for some reason, called a Jerry cylinder.
I think I came up with that. It just looked like a Jerry to me, and it was a cylinder. So, Jerry cylinder.

This was a cylinder with one of those things that kind of squeak-tweeted at you if you shook it or turned it up-side down.

If you've ever seen the inside of a moo box, it was basically that in miniature, with a much smaller reed, producing a much higher sound.

The outside of this plastic cylinder was a fuzzy covering with thin, stringy legs, wings and a beak. No idea about color or anything like that.

The whole thing was maybe about 2 inches tall, and the same around.

Nobody knows what happened to this particular Jerry cylinder. We don't know where it came from, either, and have only ever seen this one.

Anyway, this came up in conversation, and now my mother is determined to find another Jerry cylinder.

To her, I say "good luck". It's not like you can go looking for one of those by name and find anything useful... Not that the Jerry cylinder was particularly useful or anything.

Ugh, forgot to thaw out the stuff for meals today. Now, it's either get creative or order. Option B sounds much better, but the bank account and/or credit cards would beg to differ. I really was looking forward to that buffalo chicken too and/or the shrimp and grits. - Summer
