So I did start my own #Scheme implementation after all. Still in preparatory stage (it’s a fork of relatively dated TinyScheme, do I need to clean up a lot of stuff,) but it’s already both super interesting and super daunting. I’m afraid to announce it, because that’s a lot of responsibility and commitment I’m instantly claiming. This might really go sideways now that I’m also opening a bar. Dunno.

As for your split attention, aren't you rather used to that? :)
@dougmerritt I used Rodion’s fork <https://github.com/RodionGork/tinyscheme> as a basis, as he did a lot of things to original TinyScheme that were genuinely useful.
Split attention part I’m not so sure about. I prefer being single-threaded.

So you're starting with that fork -- what's your goal? Or would talking about it decrease implementation enthusiasm?
@dougmerritt my main goal is to have a 100% slop-free small yet useable Scheme. I was hyping for Skint, but it sloppified. I was enthusiastic about Chibi, but Alex Shinn now uses LLMs routinely. I don’t trust these projects anymore. So I start my own.
