    @2legged Some people have strong opinions on exactly how everyone should use the fediverse and get tilted real fast when there are deviations. Laugh and ignore is my general strategy 😬

    @mroach I tend to be curious about which type of Fedi-cop they are. So a wee poke may satisfy my curiosity.

    It's usually some variant of the central archetype of German autistic techie who self-describes as anarchist, and insists that everyone must do anarchism in exactly the same way and must support immediate war against Russia 🙄

    @2legged @mroach to be clear, I just have a general aversion to bit ly. not specific to the fediverse. I don’t like link shorteners, they feel very iffy to me

    I assumed this general sentiment was well-known enough that it wouldn’t be necessary to explain it fully. sorry for that

    (obviously just because I don’t like it doesn’t mean you’re evil or anything, but I still don’t like it)
