    @paige have you ever considered shared media caches for @fedihost ?

    It seems that most of the cost of single-account instances is in the cache, and I don't really care to have _my own copy_ of it.

    If we can bring the cost of personal instances down I think it would lower the barrier of entry considerably

    It's something we've looked into and there are already some experimental projects that do it. But there are still some considerable challenges to make it a robust feature we can offer.
