Josh Knapp :verified:GoTakeAKnapp@anti-social.onlineSep 25, 2026, 3:37 PM@geerlingguy dang, the rooms sold out fast around that time.
Sep 25, 2026, 4:22 PM@GoTakeAKnapp It's a year away. The lodging page on the site currently says "We are currently working on an official block of rooms for conference visitors. Please check back soon for details on reserving a room in our block."
Looks like fun! @geerlingguy Perhaps we could have an "educational usage" track? We'd be willing to help with that part.

@admin @GoTakeAKnapp Thanks, and yes, hpc.social would be great to have (I'm holding some booths for more community-driven stuff, like schools and OSS).
For hotel rooms, I'm still working out room blocks for HomelabFest. Hopefully I'll have that ready to go soon (though the room blocks may sell out quickly too...)
Belakornurglerider@mastodon.socialSep 25, 2026, 3:52 PM@geerlingguy Meh, I'd rather support women's bodily autonomy thanks.

@boulder Nice! Just this morning I was talking with my Dad about his time working with KWMU at UMSL!
Chris Atzingerchrisatzinger@mastodon.socialSep 25, 2026, 5:19 PM@geerlingguy Thank you for the order you recently placed with HomelabFest 2027.
Can't wait for this! I went back and saw the price increase... glad I got in at Super Early Bird!

Dustindigitalkrampus@mastodon.socialSep 26, 2026, 3:05 AM@geerlingguy oh my gosh this looks great! Can I ship my 30U rack to St. Louis from Denver… 🤔

@digitalkrampus Heh, that might be a bit of a haul! Though I've seen crazier things be transported similar distances for VCFs! :O
