    - Landscaping labor shortages
    - Day care labor shortages

    And that kicker in the headline? That thing about social security being at risk to the tune of >$2000/retiree/year?

    That’s because those undocumented immigrants the Trump admin is driving away were still •paying• social security taxes even though they never expect to •collect• social security.

    they pay into social security, medicare/medicaid and take nothing out. it's one of the many uncomfortable truths about immigrants that conservatives and politicians don't want to talk about. they'd much rather spread racism, hatred, and lies, along with tearing apart the social safety nets most of the US needs.

    Clearly all hints point towards the goal of de facto enslavement of US citizens, through poorly regulated "employment" practices, probably sorted by skin color and income. All but overt.
