Some tiny hole has formed on my CPAP mask that makes a shrill whistling noise while I sleep. I've tried to plug it up with little success. I have a new one on order, until then I guess just bad sleeping only.

@srol one reason I learned to keep at least two spares

the whistling sometimes comes if the exhaust holes have moisture, which can happen as I have my humidity cranked to ten, so I have them at my beside so I can easily swap in my sleep

I even keep a spare hose in case condensation makes it make a gurgling noise, which is also distracting when trying to sleep

and yes, a tear in the silicone part feels impossible to repair, I've tried superglue, plastic weld, and even trying to fuse it closed with an iron. I think a bit of electrical tape inside plus superglue on both sides held the longest, a couple hours, not long enough to rest

@Mycroft I have been using CPAP since 2007. I know when it's whistling from moisture, this ain't it.

@srol Oh I apologize, I didn't mean you imply that you don't know a hole when you see one. I was just trying to explain why I got into the habit of keeping spares.

@srol don't try to tape it over. I did that once and I woke up with a throat full of adhesive. Not even kidding
