Good news!

something got me thinking about Fantastic Four, and I got to wondering if we ever learned Susan Richards's maiden name

wait, have we? is that just something they've held onto and left unanswered as a tradition? surely they've had to have used it on a few occasions, but maybe not

is this some mystery? maybe it's something to look up later. maybe there'll be a great nd infodump about it on youtube

but maybe I can figure it out myself

what do I know?

okay, so, she's already married to Reed when the significant event happens. she's the brother of the human torch, Johnny Storm, and-

wait, rewind

Storm. She was Sue Storm. It was never hidden.

Little fact for you ornithology nerds: nightingales are famous for their singing, but they make most of their money running underground gambling dens.

I do not want wings. I do not want to fly. As a cartoon character I am naturally suspicious of the third dimension. I can do without it tyvm.

I should carry around a roll of electrical tape in case I run into a blue LED that needs improving, and crushing it with needlenose pliers isn't viable

I followed a guide to set up a telnettable BBS in DOSBox, and it was pretty easy actually, the hardest parts being setting up the BBS software that I was unfamiliar with.

I poked around and it doesn't seem like there's an easy way to make DOSBox-X accept an ssh connection to a guest serial port the way it accepts telnet. Or it's so obvious that nobody talks about it?

Internal network only for testing, no intention yet to open it up to the outside.

nothing I didn't already know but it's nice to hear a story from another perspective

"But thumbnail is important to me and I don't have the time/skill to make a good one myself! What do you want me to do, hire an artist?"

1. Yes
2. Fucking yes
3. Yes, you dipshit
4. By saying it's neither important enough for you to put in the time/effort yourself nor important enough to hire a professional, you're saying it's not important. Make a bad one. Use free stock art. Use free photography. Make something ugly in mspaint or with crayons.
