Sincere question for programmers working in tech — are you able to do your job without AI?

I’m not asking if you have the ability to, but rather is usage of AI mandated at your job?

I’ve found that basically every job in tech now mandates it and coworkers all view you as insane if you don’t use it.

Yet on Mastodon every programmer I see acts like they not only don’t use AI, but that they’re seemingly able to keep their job and not mandated to use it.
