the internet is bad today. but i sat on the couch and a soft kittycat snuggled on my lap for a while, soaking up the warm sunlight. so i am trying to not feel too depressed

finally sat down tonight to repair some clothes, since i had some missing buttons and holes to mend. at least i got something done today lmao...

in hindsight, instead of wrangling automated download stuff and getting really annoyed, i really should've used my afternoon doing language studies and like. eating lunch. well. at least i tried! but i think i've sworn off anything involving networking and ports and all that. nooooooo thank youuu

[squints] what if i just made a big list of movies to watch someday, and make a thing out of going to the library to pick up dvds.

the more i try to work on my own home server management stuff the more i’m like. auuughhhh this shit is not for me i think lol. i am not having a fun time here……..

poppy: prr?

poppy: miaou!
moi: parfait ! merci bien

playing around with brush pens and markers again (they/them only)

i am, unfortunately, autistic enough about desktop environments and design that when i see 00s Computer Aesthetic things that combine the iMac G3 with Windows XP/Vista icons, i cry a little bit on the inside. no... no...! not the bliss wallpaper on a G3...!

even though i live in a cold climate—and always have!—i don't have a lot of warm, cozy clothes, because my previous apartment ran freakishly warm during winter for reasons far beyond my control. now i am a fool, living in a basement that is fucking *freezing* year-round. nghhrghrghrggfgf

maybe someday i will have a cat of my own. but i don't know if that day will ever come

i wonder what it must have been like to grow up with pets, for this to feel normal and for it to be strange to *not* have an animal in your home. but there's this novelty that i keep feeling, that i am sure is immature and stupid and something i will grow out of eventually

living with animals is still surreal to me. what do you mean there's fluffy beasts in my home that want to spend time with me...

they made progressive web apps, because of woke

ok my non-rgb case fans arrived over the weekend so it's time for me to install them. my neon rainbow nightmare will soon be over. i can sleep without needing to cover my pc with a towel. & yes i tried literally everything in my power to disable the LEDs and could not stop it. They Must Go.

i didn't want to fuss with fiddly drawers, or have a box that's 90% ring/stud storage, since i don't wear those very often lol. but now i have my very own old fashioned jewelry box. these are the sorts of things i get excited about

yesterday i got very lucky, and found a nice jewelry box at a resale shop for a good price! fits my needs perfectly: it's just the right size, has a nice velvet-y interior, and it's made out of real wood. i cleaned it up last night and put everything away in it. felt great to do it

i was brushing my hair out this morning and poppy was enraptured. so i held my brush out and she curiously rubbed her cheek against it. and then proceeded to rub her head against it over and over and over and over. communal time for brushies…

playing with brush pens tonight @eramdam
