On July 8, Trump made the promise that the US would give Ukraine a license to make Patriot missiles (attached clip).
Obviously it would be very difficult for Trump to make such a promise, since the Patriot missiles are a product and the intellectual property of Lockheed Martin — a company which neither Trump, nor the US military owns.
And to no surprise, Trump walked back his promise at the Friday cabinet meeting, now saying that military technology was “a hard thing to give away”.
