I once worked at a youth hostel where there was a sign in the kitchen saying "Do not let Timmy dry his socks in the microwave." One night the very Timmy talked me into ignoring it.
Reader, his socks caught fire.
@starchy I love that Timmy still managed to talk you into it. That, more than anything, explains the sign for me.

Here in the North Georgia USA mountains people are always dying - well, a few each year at least, because they got too damn close to a cliff’s edge.
So I think this particular form of stupidity is just ingrained in the human psych

This sign was on the wall of a Youth Hostel in Todos Santos, Baja Mexico.
Bruno was the child of the managers of the hostel.
When I first saw your comment, I had to check the name, hoping it was the same hostel.
