I'm seeing some people I used to trust on LinkedIn start to realize the whole LLM coding thing ain't working out like they thought it would. Not many, but it's a start

It is so, so tempting to post receipts of their all-in posts, calling the rest of us “incurious" over the realizations they are now coming to, with a demand for a retrospective "how are you ensuring you won't fall for this type of bullshit again?”

The bridges are already gone, they burned those unintentionally, and I'm not sure they realize that, yet

@mattly I have gone through this kind of thing with people over other differences before, and it really does suck. I had to hit the ejector seat button for a few friends when they revealed their racism back in 2016 by supporting Trump. Then I lost faith in a bunch more people who took COVID's side during the pandemic (which still ain't over, folks!). I will never get those years back, or get over the loss and suffering those people caused us. When people show you who they are, you gotta pay attention. Some things you don't get to walk back.
