@Deixis9 It's the corporate enshittification of American public discourse. It's essentially a form of political newspeak that evolved to indoctrinate employees with the belief that all human interactions are transactional and should be commodified for profit (to the benefit of the oligarchs). In a century it'll seem as quaint as appeals to the divine right of kings or the mercy of the saints, but for now it's a dominant form of linguistic abuse.
