Got 3 Episodes into "Powers" and holy shit am I out. Bad writing, bad acting, bad music - I've given this show two hours and fifteen minutes of my life to make me give one single fuck about the plot, any of the characters on screen, or even to understand WHY multiple characters keep appearing in the story despite seeming to be wholly unremarkable and unrelated to the events occurring... and nothing. Just incredibly poor.
Also, I dunno if you recall but I done told you that Josh Shapiro was the new Mayo Pete. And by that I mean a potential presidential candidate that NOBODY but lanyards and donors like, who will be inexplicably be foisted on you for a solid year and a half as "possibly the next POTUS" before finishing 5th or 6th in a Dem Primary nomination race.
The fact that he just put himself out there as the "leader" of a movement that acknowledges openly its fighting AGAINST the base's opinions proves it.
I mean let's sum up right? The neoliberal "centrist" coalition in the Democratic Party has lost not one, but two elections to a reality TV show, billionaire, child rapist nazi whose catch-phrase is "you're fired." That happened. They have no future, they have no ideas, and they have no answers. What they do have however is a BURNING desire to stop "socialism" (moderate soc dem policies) from... OTHER Democrats.
