Have you ever tried to use a #StandingDesk for work (whether working from home or in the office), if so would you recommend it?
Since I'm spending about 23/24h sitting (or sleeping) these days, I wonder if I should give it a go.. Please tell me what you think!
@elduvelle I can highly recommend a standing desk. Mine has a pneumatic lifting mechanism, which I like for the simplicity. No trailing cable, no plug, no electricity.
I also recommend an absorbent anti-fatigue standing mat (not sure what the proper name is). I was given one and it seemed like any old mat so I was surprised by the difference it makes. Just a small square with its few millimetres of padding, but it makes a huge difference on the legs and body when standing for longer periods.

so when you are in "sitting" position your feet do not actually touch the floor, is that not a problem? I guess the stool has some kind of foot rest?
@elduvelle There is a foot rest on the stool and there is also a foot rest on the desk. The desk was designed by me and created by a local craftsman

@elduvelle @CiaraNi I have a sit/stand desk that I bought on eBay at the start of lockdowns for less than 200 quid. It goes on my table, and every so often I put it up, stand to work, then put it down again. When I’m not working it can go in a cupboard or under a sofa or bed or whatever.
