and my wife checked twice.
And I still don’t know why I walked into the kitchen.
Someone hand me my metamucil.
eventually we all reach that stage where our most common exclamation is "why did i come into this room again?"... :)

We have learned to check the linings of bags, suitcases, jackets, pants, and shirts. Because thats where we have found keys and mobile phones.

My own (new) solution is a Motorola Moto2 tag. Wife mislaid an uninsured electronic car key that would cost a mere €600 to replace. It was found eventually wedged in the toe of a boot in a wardrobe underneath an upside-down back pocket. A boot we both shook earlier.
Tip: the tag is almost identical physically to Apple AirTag so holders for those work. Otter brand work well. Tag location can be shared w one person eg husband+wife
