Me, trying to find an amusingly dramatic old Victorian painting about a woman reading letters to post with "me trying to catch up with my correspondence (replies)" and wow... Bertha Wegmann??
I know nothing except that she was Danish and that I love her paintings now!

(Here's the reading one I saw first, Læsende dame ved tebordet (Hanna Lucia Bauck)1899)

A stunningly lifelike oil painting from the Victorian era, of a lady of respectable age sitting with a cup of tea, stirring it with a spoon, and a glass of water, reading a newspaper. With natural red hair, soft and frizzy in a very human way, her gracefully wrinkled face is turned down to the reading and the soft sunlight from a window behind and above reflects the light off the paper onto her face, making her look radiant and beautiful while also deeply realistic, real and human. Handsome but not fantastically beautiful, not idealised but stunning in rendition and life. She's wearing what looks to be a red tea gown, informal but luxurious, and there's a little kettle on a stove behind her, steaming. Everything is painted in a photorealistic level of detail, but with artful saturation and gloom beyond just a photo.
