Found a hack to force Wine to use Wayland instead of XWayland. Nice! Much better now. I compiled Wine from source early this morning in order to gain the latest version in the hopes of better Wayland support...

@wendigo Very nice, I hope the Wine team eventually defaults to supporting Wayland (on systems that it is installed by default). As this was a foreseen inevitability for years now, but there was a lot of feet being dragged. I am glad that more DEs and WMs are utilizing Wayland right out of the box.
