@dalekmad oh don’t worry, pausing nuclear reactors due to high temperatures is already a yearly occurrence… and while the French state sponsored nuclear power it didn’t develop solar or wind in any relevant capacity so we’re stuck burning gas. Who could have predicted‽

@dalekmad Meanwhile Australia is using so much solar that 3 hours/day electricity is free. (This is 6 months old and written in the future tense, so I don’t know whether it really came to pass)

@paco I would love to see that in Ireland. We've such a way to come with solar.
@dalekmad At least in Belgium, the same people that advocate nuclear renaissance also advocate massive rollout of HVAC as main solution against the heat...
