I CW on any IMAGE that depicts sexual or erotic nudity, blood/gore, and/or graphic violence.
These are things that are NSFW and not for "the kids" casually going by.
Other than that, I do not see the need to nerf the world for the adults.

I get the intention...
But it is misguided. I'm more concerned about using my platform to get this out and getting people pissed off so they do something about this shit.
If you're going to argue ethics, you have to look at the ramifications of all of your actions (and inactions) and who it harms and who benefits and how that shapes my goals.
Do I care more about the CW and people being pissed at me, or more about getting people pissed about this to change things?

I'm in my 60s and generally as hard as nails, but it just happens I'm vulnerable today and I don't need to be both tearful and angry at the fucked-up world my children and grandchildren will be living in, when it's after 10pm and I'm on my way to bed to be up at 6am to do a job that directly affects public safety. Being angry and sleepless is not really an option, see?
For other people it's just that most of the social media scumsites jam bad news in our faces all day every day because it generates more clicks for advert revenue, and we like to spend some time on positive stuff.

Absolutely. I'm a strong advocate of training a virgin police force, disbanding the current police force, and replacing it with the new recruits.
It would be a job of real civil service that you trained and left high school after to serve four years before moving on.
A real, protect and serve operation.
Reform hasn't happened because of the culture, so you need to toss them all out and start over.

For that new culture, look up "Peel's principles".(Sadly over the last number of decades, policing in the UK has been moving away from those principles towards the police being agents of the state, influenced by both US culture & the authoritarian desires of UK politicians, but that's a whole different matter.)

@gooba42 @DejahEntendu @jeffowski they murdered my friend in the middle of a restaurant for the capital crime of “probation violation” back in the 90s. They faced no consequences. I don’t talk about Justin much because people get mad that I bring a white execution into the conversation, but they were allowed to claim that as they were shooting him nine times he pulled out a gun and shot himself. Except there was no gun found anywhere in the restaurant. And there was no wound in his head.

A couple of weeks ago, I bought a can of baby formula for an immigrant woman who had twin babies. I had no idea that stuff is so expensive. No wonder the impoverished have to shoplift.
