It's amazing how many people I block for being a fascist safety officer on here. I read stuff like
You can't be rude to fascists
You can't be unkind to fascists
You must be polite to fascists
That's a sign for me that whomever is making the argument is a crypto-fascist. Please take that shit somewhere else
@webhat Please report too rather than just blocking. Not all instances will act on that, but some will, and it builds a file that can be useful to mods when the cryptofash shithead does something slightly less crypto and more overt.
@dalias have a look for yourself, in the replies to this post would you report the people responding that the French MPs are being rude to their far-right colleague. Is there a case to be made for reporting them?

Mastodon is pretty left leaning.
Maybe those people were trying to say that people will not hear out a different point of view if the person telling it to them is rude, unkind, impolite.
However, with politics it is often the case that many people will not listen to a different point of view under any circumstances.
Talking with such people is a waste of time. The better use of your time is to get more people who think like you do to the polls to neutralize the fascist vote.
There is now text banking for that.

@webhat Totally agree. You should never be kind to fascists. In Uganda, we are almost facing this too people are starting to face more restrictions, and it’s getting harder to speak freely. We must stand against fascism everywhere.
