An illustration that was part of the early stages of the cancelled 'Mort' Disney animated film adaptation of the Discworld book that never came to be.
There is something particularly calming, peaceful, and gentle about this depiction of Death and his soft spot for cats.

In my quest of digging up more artwork involving Death from Discworld and kittens, I've also discovered this silhouette illustration by Ryan Firchau, and say what you want, this is also one pretty awesome tattoo.
I reckon the imagery combining a skull-faced Grim Reaper and cute kittens might look a tad odd to anyone unfamiliar with the Discworld books, but it makes sense in context, and it involves themes of loneliness and longing for companionship and it's actually very wholesome, I promise.
@fringemagnet I hope it wasn't canceled for thematic reasons, because if Disney can run The Hunchback of Notre Dame, then they can run Mort.
@Supervinh47 Apparently it was a rights issue, and Disney didn't want to buy the entire Discworld franchise. Also rumours about higher ups not being sure about Death being a major character. It's all vague and I don't think there is an official answer of it.

@shivers Definitely a favourite!! Generally I love Paul Kidby's Discworld illustrations, there's something magical in them.
