The recent road work and bike lane additions on Broadway in #CambridgeMA painted this red "YIELD TO PEDS" in the bike lanes at the intersection with Highland. Has anyone seen this marking elsewhere in Cambridge?
@neilvandyke That's a very memorable wording; I'd blame Epstein.
@penguin42 More common is a street sign on a pole that says "PED XING" (pedestrian crossing).
The word "pedestrian" is also odd. I was on a city Pedestrian Committee. Which I guess is clever naming, since "pedestrian" doesn't sound impressive or important, so only people who really cared about the issues would seek the role.
