This hot summer I was out camping in a wood when a monk tried to sell me flowers but I said no.

📺🏴 How did Wales go from a resounding “No” to devolution in 1979 to a “Yes” in 1997?
John Osmond, author of ‘Soul on Fire’, joins Siôn Jobbins on @RadioYesCymru to discuss the road to winning our Senedd, the national movement’s future and his journey from Abergavenny boy to Welsh nationalist.
Had at least two pieces of Welsh homework given to me to mark today that were obvious GoogleTranslate output. I’m getting more and more irritated by this, but no matter how many times I tell my students not to do it, they still think it’s better than giving me incomplete honework. These are adults, for heaven’s sake. I’m trying to help them learn Welsh, not feed an LLM.
But somehow "stop killing children" is controversial.
This is awful, and disgusting, and apart from a short segment on the Welsh news doesn’t seem to have been picked up. A fuel leak by arms company GE Aerospace in Nantgarw has resulted in kerosene flooding the river Taf in South Wales. Their dirty business, their waste - but our river, our problem.
Next in Jon’s efforts to clear out old tech…
A 2010 MacBook my father used to use
This model: https://everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook/specs/macbook-core-2-duo-2.4-white-13-polycarbonate-unibody-mid-2010-specs.html
8Gb RAM, 240Gb SSD
*BUT* the battery will not charge. I replaced the battery, same problem. The power supply is OK as it charges another Mac fine.
NVRAM and SMC reset change nothing. Cleaning charging port changes nothing.
Mac works OK with charger plugged in, but unplug and it dies.
Any other obvious things I can check?
We don't need flying cars.
We need peace, warmth, a government that functions for everyone, libraries in every neighborhood, and a haunted forest encircling every town, which we can explore at our leisure.

Lle dych chi'n sefyll (neu'n eistedd) ar y mater yma?
This is a fair question to ask. Why Russia and not Canada?
Off to London in a couple of weeks, won’t be very mobile, so looking for recommendations for good pubs to pass the time.
I’ll have a couple of hours on Pentonville Rd before the Kristin Hersh gig in the Lexington.
Spending Saturday in Kew with sister. Probably no pub 🥺
On Sunday I’ll be in Piccadilly, maybe a swift early pint before an exhibition at the Royal Academy?
Sunday night on Waterloo Rd. Saw a couple nr the Old Vic last time but didn’t have time.
Any ideas?
Beth yw eich hoff ap e-ddarllenydd ar Android ar gyfer ePub, PDF ac ati sydd hefyd yn feddalwedd rydd a chod agored?
Hyd y gwelaf i mae bwlch sydd angen ei lenwi yn Gymraeg.
