Kids will be living with the effects of climate change their whole lives. Even if they're not directly affected by flooding or fires, they'll have relatives or friends who are.
National's continued attacks on science and scientists are exhausting. Their vision of the future includes a less educated population. They want to breed unthinking workers.
National's vision also includes new roads linking new AI data centres which will pay a pittance to use all of our green power, requiring our country to use gas during lean periods. But that's a different conversation.
@BobLefridge Those data centres will be used as strategic assets by the military and intelligence arms of belligerent foreign states who are actively carrying out war crimes including genocide. Therefore, they are legitimate military targets and, according to a reasonable ethical framework, any act of civil disobedience that results in damage or destruction is warranted.
