I really like glasses that have very thin frames, possibly even with no frames at the bottoms of the lenses, and that are made of very light materials. And I think we should really push that fashion, encouraging the kind of glasses that have no room for cameras and microphones in them.

@deshipu I got some new glasses recently that had a slightly thicker frame. My kid sees them and asks "are those smart glasses?" I haven't been able to wear them since. Frankly kind of annoyed, because I now need to get new frames.

@dabeaz @deshipu I have glasses with transparent frames, which means there’s no way to hide spy cameras in them. I had frameless glasses years ago, the main problem is that they are delicate. Might go back to them if I start seeing Meta glasses around.

@deshipu Please have a heart for people who need glasses not for fashion only. 😉 If you need more heavy glasses, very thin frames will not have the stability you need.
And depending on how often you have to switch between different glasses, it can also be problematic. In this way, I once crashed my most expensive frameless glasses!
I buy what is the best for my eyes. And my face. Not fashion.
