The fact that the President of the United States suggests Iran should nuke Los Angeles and San Diego and we’re supposed to pretend it’s perfectly normal, everyday stuff shows exactly what is terribly wrong with today’s political mainstream media.
@Strandjunker 1x country in the world with 600 million firearms in private households ... what can i say ...
@GeraintLlanfrancheta In my opinion that number of households with firearms is going to be very important when martial law is declared. We outnumber them. #liberalgunowners #selfdefense #armyourfriends @Strandjunker
@lawyersgunsnmoney @GeraintLlanfrancheta @Strandjunker
They have tanks. Do we have tanks?
@Sfwmson @lawyersgunsnmoney @Strandjunker its your country, not mine. You have to live in it. Do how you please.
@GeraintLlanfrancheta @lawyersgunsnmoney @Strandjunker
Sorry I was replying to DB!
@Sfwmson Did the Afghans have tanks when they defeated the Soviets and then us? Can you name an insurgency that we prevailed against which was fighting on their own land for their country?Tanks are useless in urban combat. If your point is to just give up - obey in advance and don’t fight for your country- then I guess you’re free to do that. Lots of people did that in WWII @GeraintLlanfrancheta @Strandjunker
That's a big jump and assumption on your part.
Where did I even hint at giving up?
We beat the Native Americans. Is that what you mean?
@Sfwmson That was the point of your rhetorical question “Do we have tanks?” If you’re planning to do something useful then good for you.
The answer to the example you gave is “No” - although the Native Americans were very effective in their insurgency notwithstanding the genocide they were fighting against.
Decolonization (including anti-Soviet) insurgencies are the frame of reference.
If you don’t arm yourself, you’re just outsourcing your protection to someone else. There is no one else.
Truth!
@Strandjunker Also dangerous is the audience who clapped for him and approve. The 32% of Americans who approve of killing “liberal” fellow citizens in California IMO tells you where we are - similar to the Fascist supporters in 1930s and 1940s Europe.
@lawyersgunsnmoney @Strandjunker also, the audacity of labeling San Diego “liberal”.
@mmcknett I know, right? Ignorance is limitless. He and Hedgehog fired live rounds over a civilian highway near the base of I remember correctly. He doesn’t care. It’s all about his power over life or death and that people do not matter, including his supporters in the military. @Strandjunker
@lawyersgunsnmoney @Strandjunker yes, over the 5 at Camp Pendleton. CA closed the highway and discovered some kind of debris over the roadway after the live fire exercise, IIRC.
But just, the lack of awareness that San Diego is a prominent naval aviation port… 😬
@mmcknett I know, it’s astounding. IMO he is stupid and ignorant of that because he just doesn’t care about anything or anyone if they don’t fit in his agenda/narrative. @Strandjunker
That 32% is interesting. Have a look at this Pew poll from 2024;
@kingsleybugarin Thanks for the article. There does seem to be a general tracking. It is very interesting, though it’s interesting in the same way a shotgun pointed at your head is interesting…@Strandjunker
@kingsleybugarin
And Uruguay moves up in the retirement rankings.
@lawyersgunsnmoney @Strandjunker
@tlariv Isn’t that where Thiel went?@kingsleybugarin @Strandjunker
@lawyersgunsnmoney
No, he went to Argentina. The other tango country.
@kingsleybugarin @Strandjunker
Oct 6, 2026, 9:30 PMNot to mention....... society.
@Strandjunker It really does say it all doesn't it?
@Strandjunker but they don't have it, he should give them one as part of the peace deals
@Strandjunker CNN were the first to normalise the event and no surprise there given their new owners, but the overuse of specious reasoning in attempting to get him off the hook is quite sickening.
@Strandjunker New owner who presented a piece on CNN finding the lighter side of letting Iran nuking LA and San Diego to let Trump off the hook promises editorial independence. The Onion couldn't do better, I tell ya.
https://edition.cnn.com/2026/10/06/media/david-ellison-cnn-skydance-trump-lawsuit-editorial-independence
@Strandjunker and that he is ok if Iran has two nuk*s...as long as that's where they fire
Tbe beginning of unreality
Media? How about government? Checks and balances are GONE. And half the population enables this behavior, or just cannot bring themselves to the thought that it might take more than civil disobedience to get back some form of sane government.
@Strandjunker but in other news a candidate who isn't aligned with our billionaire owners sneezed, thus possibly causing a hurricane in some other universe and must be disqualified from running for office ever again.
Oct 7, 2026, 1:29 AM@Strandjunker An applause line.
@Strandjunker
Y'all really need to understand that you need to replace "Trump" or "The President" with the "The American Government".
Therefore
"The American Government stated that bombing the populations of Los Angeles and San Diego ( ~ 5.2 million people) are acceptable war casualties in the war with Iran."
In more than 40 years Iran has never threatened an American city yet we have people in Nebraska cheering as Trump says it would be okay to wipe out 5 million US citizens.
@HamonWry ... Gavin Newsom would do good touring Nebraska and telling all these Nebraskans what cool shit they could all have if they'd ditch their GOP politicians and vote blue instead. @Strandjunker
Oct 7, 2026, 2:09 AMPOTUS is demented! Iran his already threatened US bases outside the middle east (https://www.axios.com/2026/10/04/us-b-1-bombers-evacuated-from-uk-base-after-attack-threats-from-iran ). They don't have to launch a missile from Iran, all they have to do is get their drones within range of a U.S. facility or city and launch them remotely. Iran could load shipping containers with Shahed drones and send them anywhere in the world or park them 100 miles off the coast of San Diego or LA in a ship.
Nah, why would they do that after we invaded their country!
@Strandjunker It's like "Oh wow. Moving on...". And is GOP pervs know he has a lot of dirt on them, so nothing will be said. That should be the second headline. But, zilch.
In California here, keep seeing it phrased as we're the only ones taking issue, like it's debatable and we're the dipshits and he's not talking about the entire country and planet accelerating towards the end times.
On a side note…
We probably shouldn’t be calling him President of the United States.
He broke that oath like 2 seconds out from taking it.
And the entire world knows it.
@Strandjunker Since Iran doesn't have nuclear weapons, these bombs will be labeled “Made in the USA.”
Oct 7, 2026, 1:14 PM@Strandjunker Andrea lay off the crack!
@Strandjunker There isn’t enough outrage, on both sides of the aisle.
It was unsurprising that sky dance/CNN covered by dismissing it as "not what he meant."
@Strandjunker
It's getting less believable every day
