@ai6yr My old Icom IC-2 still works!

If you're in #LosAngelesCounty or #VenturaCounty, some locations are under a severe weather alert for thunderstorms and high winds until 11am pst

@blogdiva This is also why experts recommend away from any kind of touchscreen voting device in favor of optical scan hand marked paper ballots (except for voters who require assistive tech).

But that's a battle for another day; no county can change its voting equipment at this point in the election.

CHP: "...RP REQ ALL LANES STOPPED JNO OFR FOR EMERG POTHOLE REPAIR ..." (101S at Moorpark Road) 😬

@CherrieHomes That right there is a gen-yew-wine gully washer!
@ai6yr

@AnnieBuddy @beatricejess @kylferr @ai6yr The problem tends to be

* when you're young you don't have the money
* when you're mid career you don't have the time
* when you're old you can't get the medical

@ai6yr Fun little lighting & thunder show right about that time.

@ai6yr @scm Or the UV lamp for the grow area.

@pmonks @ai6yr it’s in the master bedroom 😆

My best guess is that it was added for some power hungry medical equipment

@fiend_unpleasant @ai6yr

heh. I was dealing with our PHP2shell response yesterday (one of our products is affected) and I had TWO execs msg me with "Copilot says we should just do <this>".
So yeah, it be like this.
Felt like saying "Oh, well then, you dont need me then. Im taking the rest of the week off."

Its like when I was trying to install a SoundBlaster in my sister's computer in the early 90s and it still had a few jumpers and a sw config utility and I was struggling with a device conflict. She held up the box and said "But it says Plug N Play!", to which I took the card out of the ISA slot, jammed it between two of the floppy drives, slammed the case shut saying "There. I Plugged. Go play." and went to make a sandwich.

The USGS Pager has turned red for the China 7.0 earthquake, with 100s of fatalities & $billions in damage forecast. Rarely, this can be inaccurate, especially in remote areas. https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/us6000pi9w/pager

""hey, the only way I'm going to be alive in an hour's time is if I don't fuck up", but the clever trick is not to say it out loud if you've got passengers."

😂 😂 😂

@ai6yr bro, you just get on the blockchain and mint a new gambling line on if you can fix it or not. Then you liquidate some of your NFTs so that you can afford tokens for another "A.I." agent to look at what your first agent did to fix the vuln.

It's super easy. I was explaining this to my gf until I ran out of money for tokens to keep generating her responses.

@ai6yr @TimWardCam @beatricejess @kylferr

Amazingly (to me, anyway) is there is a direct correlation between people who will abdicate their driving to a Tesla autopilot, being the same people who would fight tooth and nail if you suggested they take a train or public transportation.

@ai6yr @davidaugust Which is a bit like trying to confirm that the unknown person you are chatting to on Facebook is your mate from ten years ago by asking the unknown person on Facebook that you are chatting to if they are your mate from ten years ago.

Most LLM #AI being pushed on consumers is quite reasonably characterized as largely a scam.

Tesla ran off the road into a ditch
Train might hit it, that woudl be a ***ch
When it's raining those cars sure do slide
Hope you don't get trapped inside that ride

Rising military spending could worsen climate change and undermine security, experts warn

You don't solve the problems of climate change by spending more on the military, any more than you solve poverty and homelessness by spending more on cops.
