@ai6yr @davidaugust Which is a bit like trying to confirm that the unknown person you are chatting to on Facebook is your mate from ten years ago by asking the unknown person on Facebook that you are chatting to if they are your mate from ten years ago.

@the_wub @ai6yr yes! It is like many people have never been lied to in their lives and so don’t know how to even start to vett what they encounter in the world.
(Yes, the different context can make it easy to not be cautious, heaven knows I have fooled myself with rushed testing and such plenty.)
