    So the other day someone linked to this article, which describes Apple's knowledgeconstructiond daemon.
    8rank.ai/game/apple-intelligen
    It seems to build a database / graph of highly personal data for Apple Intelligence use. I just checked on my Mac, and it is not running on my machine. I think this is probably only enabled on machines that have Apple Intelligence enabled, which I haven't. So if you don't want or require Apple Intelligence, it is probably better turned off.

    @radex Interesting. I have duetexpertd running, though, which also claims to deliver "personalized experience" stuff. Personally, I think I was happy with simple spotlight search...

    @root42 there's a ton of these system deamons, and it's not obvious what they all do and how they're different from one another. I also spotted textunderstandingd and suggestd last night
