    @arichtman @timbray keyoxide only provides the "wraps GPG" part and not the chat/filesharing/git stuff that's looking really interesting.

    Wire looks like a compelling alternative for the the chat/identity/fileshare stuff, but lacks direct git support

    Zoom buying Keybase seems to have killed everyone else's interest in the project, which, yeah, makes sense.

    Wish someone would remake all the interesting bits (chat, files, git/hg/jj support) as free software, honestly

    @aurynn @arichtman Actually didn't know about keyoxide, will look. Interestingly, my take is kind of the opposite: Saying “here’s a keypair and here’s really strong evidence that it's controlled by the same entity who is X on SocialMedia1 and Y on SocialMedia2 and Z on SocialMedia3” feels like a very useful flavor of identity.

    @timbray @arichtman I agree that'd be useful. Time to write some sort of "sign in with KeyOxide" plugin for Safari on iOS and macOS, and add support to the various Fedi projects?
