The regular pulls seem to be working and it also pulls the latest cone and spaghetti models (caption has the stamp).

I figured out how to do an hourly pull of every location, so there def will be a new Waffle House Index up this week.

An image titled Waffle House Temporary Closures shows a map of the southeastern United States illustrating the impact of Hurricane Isaias on Waffle House locations. Text states that 5% of locations in the path of the storm are temporarily closed. A legend indicates that grey dots represent open locations and orange dots represent temporarily closed locations. The map features a shaded grey area and several blue "spaghetti model" lines depicting the storm's path moving northwest across the region. Most Waffle House locations across the southeastern US are shown as open grey dots, with several clusters of orange closed locations appearing along the coast and inland. A footer indicates the data was pulled from Waffle House on 2026-10-10 at 16:00:04.

@emjonaitis great q! The spaghetti lines aren’t forecasts of the storm. They’re automated model trackers that follow whatever low-pressure center each model finds. Once the storm weakens inland, many of them jump to a new low forming along the front near the coast and follow that one out to sea. I just had them handy and am enjoying doing cathartic R stuff again.

I did do a double check against what MWP — spaghettimodels.live/storm/al0 — plots for these just to make sure I didn't mess something up.

A weather forecast map shows a large storm system moving across the eastern United States. A wide band of precipitation, indicated by green, yellow, and red colors, stretches from the Mid-Atlantic coast inland towards the Midwest. Several colored spaghetti model lines converge, tracing a general path from the Atlantic Ocean toward the US East Coast. A shaded grey corridor highlights a projected path, and a solid black line with numerical markers, including the number 24, tracks along this corridor, ending at a red dot over the southeastern region. The map displays the borders of various US states along the east coast and inland.
