On Sep 30, Reddit announced that they will kill their RSS feeds on November 13, 2026 with no replacement offered.
As this bot is using the RSS feed of https://www.reddit.com/r/todayilearned/ it will stop on the same date.
The open internet is dying, bit by bit and it makes me sad. Anyway, thank you for being with us all these years and take care.

@todayilearned Aww man! I really enjoyed you, little bot.
@todayilearned This was/is cool to follow, any chance to make a turnaround and run FROM Mastodon (corporates can be fed from here...) ?
@todayilearned Aaron Swartz would be dismayed at what has become of Reddit and the open web.
I picked the right time to leave Reddit!
@todayilearned Thanks for all the Work and the nice idea to send inspiration into the void !
All the best to You

@todayilearned Sad to see you go, your bot was great
@todayilearned If you call mass "open" website "open", you are naive.
That's not how open even works.
@todayilearned
Another turd left on Aaron Swartz's grave.
@todayilearned Could something work through https://rss.diffbot.com ? I’ve found it quite reliable for other websites.
Oct 12, 2026, 8:44 AM@todayilearned we will miss this bot... And rss.
@todayilearned I am truly sorry to break it to you, but the open internet started dying when people moved from mailing lists and newsgroups to web based forums.
Oct 12, 2026, 12:29 PM@todayilearned sad sad sad day
@todayilearned @Susan_calvin Yes, another pretty garden is walled in - sad.
