..still knew I was fundamentally a girl. I wanted to be *accepted* by the boys, I didn't want to be a boy.
Also, I didn't feel that limited by being a girl - sure I hate the physical advantage that men have without even trying - and I frequently notice the second-class treatment and lack of respect, but I fundamentally never really felt out of place in my gender.
Also, if something is available to kids now that wasn't when I was younger, I don't feel like it should be taken away NOW. 2/n
Talking to a female colleague last year, they mentioned that they think that "all the attention" that trans kids get is persuading teenagers that they are trans.
She told me she would totally have transitioned to male as a teenager if it was an option, but because it wasn't she just made the best of her situation. And she thought "lots" of people were like that.
Ummmm, no? I was a tomboy, hated the girls in my class, was the only mechanic among princesses at a costume party, but still 1/n
