Sep 30, 2026, 8:39 PM@letterror 🙏 I just spent two days with Jaap van Triest looking at Evert Bloemsma’s diaries when he studied at ABK Arnhem (1976-81), and beyond. I was enthralled by his ability to write and draw continuously, to sketch his ideas, to express his doubts, his failures, his breakthroughs… A truly human learning process that can not exist if delegated to AI.

Similar to your point, Ben Recht in his history of these machines makes a distinction between ‘deciding’—which even machines can do, following an algorithm—and ‘choosing’, which requires judgment and implies responsibility and accountability.
