@coatilex Yes, though more rugged, etc. The apple folder seems to get a fair amount right here, but not for me.

@mattblaze iPhone duo is 11.3mm closed, huawei mate xt (a trifold) is 12.8mm closed. seems doable!

I'm very skeptical of the Duo's mechanical system in the real world, i.e. dust and fine grained sand.
Never mind, that the Duo is no replacement for an iPad Pro, maybe for an iPad mini.
Sep 9, 2026, 8:47 PM@mattblaze I never buy the first generation of anything, but the surface duo was almost my first foldable, I think the “passport” form factor is superior to the skinnier phone we have today.
If I had the cash, but I can’t justify paying more than my laptop for a phone.

(Which is also why the camera downgrade doesn’t phase me—it’s a big step up from where I am now.)
