    @fesshole Yeah same here. I do know that October and December have 31 days but only because of the holidays that land on the last day of the month. The other months? I am at best 80% certain.

    And that stupid poem is of absolutely no help whatsoever.

    Here's what my grandfather taught me:

    Form two fists and hold them up with the backs of the hands in front of your face. Now count the months from left to right. January knuckle, February indent, March knuckle, and so on. After July (knuckle of left index finger), move across to the knuckle of your right index finger for August, and keep going rightwards.

    When you're on a knuckle, the month has 31 days. When you're on an indent, the month has 30 days unless it's February, in which case it's more complicated.

    The rule this implements is that odd-numbered months up to July and even-numbered months from August onwards have 31 days.
