4 year old: is money real or pretend?
Me: *clears throat* *takes sip of water* *arranges notes on podium*

Every trans person you know was once a trans kid - even if they didn't know it at the time. There's a reason we'll never stop fighting for our little siblings.

she isn’t being weird about it ☺️

i would like my client to decorate toots with a warning if the contents are ai generated, at least if the synthid etc checks are positive

@babe to add: in NL all women 30 and over are automatically invited every five years. It’s a test you can do at home (you can also go in, if that’s what you prefer).

You also get the invitation if you’re a trans woman (and have fixed your birth certificate), which is kind of funny but the opposite is also true: if you’re a trans man you *don’t* get the invitation unless you register yourself (edit: if you still need it of course) (which is simple enough from what I understand although figuring out where is another thing). This should be mentioned by your care provider, but anyway now you know.

I have no idea how this works if you’re an immigrant, but I think if you’re registered normally, and have a bsn and health insurance and stuff it should be fine?

Cervical screening is an important way to reduce the chance of developing cervical cancer, looking for abnormal cells which can be treated before it develops, and in the UK a large number of people miss out on this potentially life saving test.

If you are over 25 in the UK and have a cervix, you can have a cervical screening test for free. Just contact your GP practice to make an appointment

Since it’s coming out day, and (mostly) since it came up somewhat naturally, I just came out to the girl I’ve been chatting with these last few weeks 🤞🏻

I don’t expect her to be weird about it, but also you never know

Nitter currently has no legal counsel.

anyway time to make lunch for the next couple of days

also weird: they have portions listed as 30g, and have conveniently provided a scoop that should contain approximately 30 grams

except a scoop is 20g so that’s not even close 😑

To combat this i bought unsweetened oat milk instructions of the usual, which makes it a bit better and it saves (checks notes) 10 whole kcal

I got some protein powders, never had them before. They taste better than I expected tbh but jfc why are they so sweet? Let people add a sweetener if they like it sweet, you can’t take it out…

If only my screen had enough space playing a video in portrait mode for controls to not cover the image. Until that day..

Today in #blijdorpzoo: #cuddly #sharks! :blobhaj_hugsmolhaj:

Photograph by one of my humans, while I was on the road with my other human...

Kids today will never believe this, but it used to be an important user interface design consideration that buttons for controlling stuff (like a media player, or paging through a series of photos) not cover up the stuff that the buttons control.

Imagine: videos, where the play and pause buttons were not on covering up the playing video content for any amount of time. “See next photo” buttons that didn’t overlap any part of the current photo you are looking at.

We can have it all again some day, I believe.

*does this at u*
