The Dornier museum near Friedrichshafen!
Here's a photo of the gate guardian. Bearing in mind that I write SF/F, what do you think I made of it?

I appreciate it's not your style, but clearly the warp nacelles are 1/poorly disguised and 2/ will give radiation poisoning to the passengers.
I was actually thinking along the opposite lines. Clearly the big anti-gravity pods need to be that far away to prevent short-range effects, including the ram-jet compression fields, from scrambling the passengers's intestines.
Of course the humans — bless them! — didn't understand how the technology worked, and have parked the thing upside-down.
The little black pods are minor lifters for inside gravity wells, and pull *up*, humans! And the cross-piece is anchorage that locks into a concrete restraint system to stop it floating away when it is on the spaceport and someone leaves the engines running.

Only 3 examples of this plane were ever made, this is number 3.
Number 1 was used to evacuate M. and Ms 'H' to Paraguay with one discreet layover in Brazil, while number 2 flew non stop from Berlin to Ultima Thule, the underwater base prepared to continue Uranprojekt II and III, as well as critical results from Unit 731 and other experiments performed in Europe.
